Ben Sprague

Pastor

Ben was born and raised in the Redding area and gave his life to Jesus at an early age. He grew up loving sports and making people laugh. After high school he discovered God’s call on his life to be a pastor and graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2001 with a BA in Bible and Theology.

He then married the love of his life Nicole and together they led a Youth Ministry for 12 years in the Santa Barbara area where God blessed them with 3 incredible children. Being moved by God’s heart for the world they moved said goodbye to their thriving ministry to reach the least, last, & lost in one of the darkest places on earth moving to Northern India to work with Muslims for the next 4 years.

Those years were the best & worst of times for their young family. After which they returned to Redding where they have been serving Jesus since 2016.

Ben now works full time as a real estate agent and is honored to be a “tent making” pastor, leading the church plant of Gather Strong. He is deeply passionate about teaching/preaching in creative & accurate ways, raising up leaders, disciples who make disciples, and churches that plant churches. His purpose in life is to please God by making disciples through his family, his church, and his business.

Jason Paine

Elder

Jason moved to Redding in 2018 with his wife and three kids after living overseas for 12 years in Hong Kong. He taught HS Bible, World Religions, and Apologetics while leading multiple mission trips in Southeast Asia. When looking for churches Jason and his wife Christine were attracted to Gather Church's authenticity and community. They have served in the children's ministry for the last six years and are currently developing a missions focus for the church. Jason hopes to lead Gather members in our motto or gathering, growing, and going.

Gabriel Trull

Elder

Gabriel is a dedicated to the Lord. He is a member of the Elder Board at Gather Church and serves as a House Church Pastor. He is deeply committed to his faith, his pastoral duties at Gather Church, and his family. Gabriel lives with his wife Mary, daughters Leah and Elise, and son Titus in the Shingletown area. He also works as an Assistant Chief for CAL FIRE.
