This summer Gather Strong will be traveling to Vicente Guerrero, Mexico on July 19–25, 2026 to serve alongside YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and churches from around the world. We’re incredibly excited for the opportunity to step into this community with open hands and hearts — to serve, encourage, and share the love of Jesus.

While we’re there, we’ll be helping build homes for local families, providing a safe and stable place to live. But more than just building houses, our heart is to build relationships; sharing the love and Truth of the Gospel with every person we encounter. Last year we witnessed the Holy Spirit move in ways we never could have planned — opening doors for honest conversations, moments of deep vulnerability, and even people giving their lives to Jesus. One night we found ourselves worshiping and praising Him in a taco shop with believers from different nations, singing in multiple languages. It was such a beautiful glimpse of God’s heart for the world and His people. We’re expectant for how Jesus will move again this year as we simply show up, partner with Him, and love the people He puts in front of us.

We’ll also have the privilege of serving at a women’s shelter that welcomes women and children who have experienced abuse and hardship. This shelter is a beautiful place of healing and restoration! The women who come, are supported as they learn how to live in healthy community, raise their children, and develop practical skills like sewing, working in a hair salon or even being a barista at their local café.

Our team or 22 will get to serve however is most helpful — whether that’s watching the kids so moms can rest, blessing the women with a spa day, helping with car maintenance, organizing donations, or simply spending time loving and encouraging the people there.

Our goal is to raise $13,500 by the end of June 2026. These funds will be split evenly among our team members and will help cover the cost of lodging and meals while we stay at the YWAM base.

If we are blessed to raise more than our goal, every extra dollar will go directly to the families we serve — helping add things like solar panels, water tanks, electricity, and other materials to the homes we build.
