For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

What is Church Ministry?

Church ministry, in Christianity, refers to the actions Christians take to express or spread their faith, essentially carrying out Christ's mission in the world. It encompasses a wide range of activities, from actively participating in church services to engaging in outreach programs within the community. The primary purpose of church ministry is to help individuals grow closer to God, build up the church community, and contribute to society by sharing the message of Jesus Christ.

What does the Bible say about ministry?

According to the Bible, joining a ministry at church is encouraged because it allows you to use your God-given gifts to build up the body of Christ, participate in fellowship with other believers, and actively contribute to the church community, with key verses including: Ephesians 4:11-13 (equipping the saints for ministry), 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (the church as a body with each member having a vital role), Hebrews 10:24-25 (encouraging one another to love and good works through gathering together), and Romans 12:4-8 (using your unique gifts to serve others within the church body.
